Japanese Cuisine meets Japanese Art

mucha-kucha

Overview

The Japanese restaurant “Hanasanshou” in the Park Hotel Tokyo, an art hotel with the theme of “a space where you can experience the Japanese sense of beauty,” has been renovated.

The theme is “the beauty of food, the beauty of use.

Since ancient times, Japanese have experienced the changes of nature and seasons through food. And in the place where food is colored, there is the existence of dishes that enhance and receive the food.

In this exhibition, we pursue the Japanese “beauty of use,” which combines functional beauty and formative beauty in line with the “beauty of food” as Japanese cuisine served at ryotei (traditional Japanese restaurants). We will display objects and vessels by up-and-coming ceramic artists active in Japan and abroad, and sincerely welcome our guests with seasonal hospitality so that they can experience the Japanese sense of beauty.
